Background:
1. I installed this forum the manual "hard way" to originally set it up.
2. After doing this, I made some modifications including:
- Guest Posting security
- Show the title of the last threads posted in

Now:
1. I migrated the board install to be under "Simple Scripts" so I could keep the PHPBB software up to date.
2. I then used Simple Scripts to update the PHPBB software.
3. Now it reset a bunch of stuff, including the modifications listed above.
4. It took less than 10 minutes before a spam-bot nailed the board as a guest user. (Kind of a compliment, I guess, that it thinks we're a worthy target.)
5. I need to fix this stuff, but don't have time to right now.

Consequences:
1. If you admins see spam, delete at will.
2. If you have time to login to the administrator control panel (link at the bottom of the page when you're logged in) and find what's broken, go ahead and run amok in there to fix whatever's necessary.

OK, dude, WTF? Seriously, WTF?! I had to log in. Wanna know why? I can't make out a DANG LETTER on your little confirmation grid. I attempted 7 times, just for the fun of it, to try and solve the puzzle. Alas, failure.

I'm glad you're having that problem, too. I thought it was solely because I was colorblind.

I need to fix this somehow, but I have no time.

update. i tried to fix the captcha but it doesn't seem to be working from here.

that said "marketing woman" came and spammed the forum in the meantime.

Also, i changed the cookies to teamworm.org instead of teamworm.com . Hopefully it will work with either but if you're having problems staying logged in as you, try to use teamworm.org instead.

I guess so, 'cause I just deleted over 50 spam posts.

I just deleted a few and blocked the IP address they were coming from. Damn Netherlands.

Thank goodness. I've been logging on every few hours today to delete them. I know that sounds like I have no life . . . and I don't . . . but when I'm stuck at home sick, what else is there to do?
