There are NO good lists of "feel good" movies online.

My definition of a feel good movie is a film where you leave and feel happy.

The top google lists I've found have included the films "Spirited Away," "Pay it Forward," and "March of the Penguins." All are great films, but I really don't think any of them fit my definition of a "feel good film." Too many downer moments.

I think a feel good film should be able to make me instantly happy, every time I watch it. Granted, different stories elicit different reactions from people, but there are definitely happier films than the above. A brief few off the top of my head are "Last Holiday", "Cool Runnings," "Mama Mia," "Miracle on 34th Street", and "Mulan." In other words, films I just can't see being sad after watching.

Anybody have any suggestions? What movies make you instantly happy?

ANY ROCKY MOVIE! I LOVE ROCKY BALBOA!!!

Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium and Secondhand Lions, too.

All on my definite recommended-to-almost-anyone lists too.

Oh, and Sister Act.

A movie that never should have had a sequel.

Pay it Forward was an AWFUL "feel good" movie. Craptacular ending.

How about Footlose? I don't remember anything about the story, but the song is pretty damn feelgood if you ask me!

Crank is not a feel good movie. Crank is a feel awesome movie. Can I nominate Crank?

I really liked the end of Run Lola Run. It's an existentialist, subtitled indie film... but it was still pretty awesome. Recommended! :D
