This CERTAINLY won't stimulate anything, but . . .
When I am off of chemo, I am SO going to Jumbo Buffet. I have lost some function, but none do I miss so much as my ability to eat. I pride myself that Zack once referred to him and myself as a buffet's worst nightmare . . . sadly, adriomycin has taken away my appetite, and believe me, it SUCKS!!!
Earlier, I went online to read reviews about a few of my local fave restaurants, and much to my surprise, people were complaining about the cleanliness of buffets.
My doctors have clearly advised me to be cautious and steer away from germs when possible while on chemo. Apparently a bacteria could be a formidable opponent. In any case, from day one, I KNEW that I would have to stay away from buffets for a while. Think about it. Even IF the buffet itself were kept clean and tidy, and all of the employees had excellent hygeine habits, you still have crowds of people and their snot-nosed kids touching all of the spoons and crowding into warm humid serving areas. This is the BEST CASE scenario.
I love a good buffet. I love eating . . . at least I used to. I'm not trying to put down buffets, but frankly, if you are a neat freak, a germaphobe, or if you are supposed to avoid microbes . . . STAY AWAY FROM BUFFETS. And if a patron handles food improperly, that's a risk of going to such a restaurant.
In any case . . . I want an Iceberg.
That is all.
