After a bit of consideration, I've decided that next Saturday, August 2nd, I will be having an Estelle Getty party. I will be showing episodes of The Golden Girls and serving Sophia's favorite foods (pizza, spaghetti with marinara, J-ello, and cheesecake!).
Everyone is invited. I hope you all come. (Although I think that I am the only Estelle Getty super-fan in the world!)
P.S. If anyone actually plans to come, and actually cares, I would be willing to show The Golden Palace or Stop or my mom will Shoot in place of The Golden Girls.

That's really sad but we saw it coming.... for like 20 years. What is The Golden Palace? I thought it was a casino. I'll try to drop in for a bit.

The Golden Palace was the short-lived sequel to The Golden Girls following the absence of Bea Arthur. Despite recurring characters played by Cheech Marin and a very young Don Cheadle, it was humorous but not nearly as charming.
However, if people want an alternative to The Golden Girls, I'm willing to go along with it. I still think Sophia did her best work there, though.

I mean absolutely no offense to you, but I've always hated the Golden Girls with a fiery passion. I think it traces back to that show taking the place of one of my favorite cartoons on Sunday mornings when I was a kid. Oh, and that old women aren't funny.

Last year my wife netflixed the entire series of golden girls. I didn't like golden girls before that; now I really don't like it. Can my wife come? She would enjoy it.

HA! Another brother for the cause! See, I'm not alone in this, although it appears that Nap and myself may be some sort of anomaly.

So, a change of plans. The Estelle party has been moved to Thursday, August 7th at 7:30 PM. Dinner will include spaghetti with marinara, pepperoni pizza (veggie option available), J-ello, and cheesecake. If you would like to bring a dish to share, feel free. All are invited, including NAP's wife.
